Waiting on Wednesday: March 2012

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted at Breaking the Spine that showcases the upcoming releases we are eagerly awaiting!

Though there are a lot of exciting books being published this year, I've chosen one I'm excted about coming out in March.

The first is the next in the Gallagher Girls series by Ally Carter. While these are a bit out of my normal genre, I really enjoyed the first four books! Teenaged spy girls at a boarding school. I love it. I do think the stories are a little, or a lot, unrealistic, but I read fiction for a reason. I've been waiting for the next installment and I'm so glad to hear it's almost here!
The expected release da is March 13, 2012

Teaser Tuesday: The Alchemyst

This week, my book is The Alchemyst by Michael Scott
Teaser #1 (pg.133): "Everthing you have been taught, all the myths and legends of yur world, have a kernel of truth in them. You've seen wonders today. You will see more in the days to come."

Teaser #2 (pg. 132): "...before the humani claimed the eart, this world belonged to toher creatures, other races."




And that's all you get! Both of those, I think, give your a pretty good idea of the amazing king of mythology invented or included in this book. Mr. Scott put a lot of hard work into this book and it really shows! Look for my review soon!

Welcome to the Irrational Reader!

I started this blog, today, the 26th of february, 2012.
Late last year I created a blog to converge all of my interests into one blog, called "Gypsy's Heart." That blog is still up and running, but I was hesitant to post my and too much bookish things on that blog because books are not my whole life, just a large part of it. So, here we are!

This is a blog entirely about books and bookish things!
